Rogue Captain Sig’s Northwestern Ale

Raise a fist and cheer Rogue! Found the brew today at Joe Canals in NJ for 6 bucks I had to try it.
Rogue Captain Sig's Northwestern Ale
It’s starts sweet and finishes like a smooth bitter. This beer has my favorite 2 flavors sweet and bitter at the same time. Unsure of its alcohol content but it would be great with a burger or a Montreal seasoned steak I think. I got it in a 22oz unsure of its availability or other packaging. All I know its a great ale. It’s actually gets sweeter as it warms and doesn’t linger like most bitters. Raise a fist and cheer Rogue!!

Bestbeerbuzz edit – Thanks again Craig, photo looks good!

Rogue Captain Sig’s Northwestern Ale is an India Red Ale available only on Draft and in 22 ounce bombers!

Named after Captain of the American fishing vessel Northwestern and star of Deadliest Catch, Sigurd Jonny “Sig” Hansen, Rogue Captain Sig’s Northwestern Ale is brewed with Rogue’s proprietary Pacman Yeast, Cartasan, Great Western and Chocolate Two-Row Malts, Amarillo, Perle and CascadeHops and Free Range Coastal Water for a nicely bitter 80 IBUs and a smooth alcohol content of 6.2% ABV.

Pairing well with Beef and Seafood, the flavor profile starts off sweet, citrus and floral, then fades nicely into its malty backbone.

At $6 a bottle, I’d say you got yourself a great beer at a good value!
