Rock Art Brewery American Red Ale

Found this brew today and was curious being red/amber ale fan I decided to check it out.

Reds and ambers are usually on the sweeter side of taste spectrum. That being said I wasn’t impressed by this beer what ever hop was used was too bitter for the brew and it just didn’t work. Cool package though.

Bestbeerbuzz.com edit: Thanks again for your contribution Craig!

Rock Art Brewery is a newer brewery with an even newer location at 632 Laporte Road, Route 100 in Morrisville, Vermont.

Their Rock Art Brewery American Red Ale is unofficially called the “Super Glide” and is brewed with plenty of roasted grains including American Pale, oats, flaked barley, black malt, chocolate malt, red malt and melandolin malt.

The hop profile is composed of American hops including Centennial, Crystal, Liberty and Magnum hops for a moderate alcohol content of 4.8% ABV.

With the use of so much high alpha bittering hops, I can see how your palate was assaulted when expecting a much sweeter disposition.
